These Host Terms of Service ("Host Terms") apply to anyone who applies to become, or is approved as, a ROAM BLK Host ("Host," "you"). They supplement ROAM BLK's general Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, which continue to apply in full. If there is a conflict between the general Terms and these Host Terms with respect to hosting activities, these Host Terms control.
By submitting a Host application, listing an event or experience, or accepting a booking through ROAM BLK, you agree to these Host Terms.
You must be at least 18 years old, have legal capacity to enter binding contracts, and be authorized to operate the events or experiences you list in the jurisdictions where they take place. You are responsible for obtaining all licenses, permits, insurance, tax registrations, and other authorizations required by applicable law.

You agree to honor every confirmed booking and deliver the event or experience as described. If you must cancel, you must do so as early as possible through the ROAM BLK Host Dashboard. ROAM BLK may, at its discretion, refund affected guests in full and recover the refunded amount from your future payouts, in addition to any platform-imposed cancellation penalties.
Repeated late cancellations, no-shows, or material discrepancies between listing and delivered service are grounds for suspension or termination of your Host status.
Payments from guests are processed by Stripe via Stripe Connect. By becoming a Host, you also agree to Stripe's Connected Account Agreement.
ROAM BLK retains a platform fee on each transaction, displayed at the time of listing (currently 5% per ticket sold; subject to change with notice). Payouts to your connected Stripe account are subject to Stripe's payout schedule and any holds Stripe may impose. ROAM BLK may withhold payouts pending investigation of suspected fraud, chargebacks, refund disputes, or violations of these Host Terms.
You are solely responsible for collecting and remitting all applicable taxes (including sales, VAT, GST, and income taxes) arising from your hosting activities.
You must take reasonable steps to ensure the safety of guests at your events and experiences, including complying with applicable health, safety, fire, and capacity regulations, screening venues for known hazards, and providing clear emergency information where appropriate.
You may not discriminate against guests on the basis of race, color, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, marital status, age, or disability, except where local law expressly permits or requires age-restricted access (for example, alcohol-related events).
You must respect guests' privacy and may use guest contact information only to fulfill the booking. You may not add guests to mailing lists, sell their information, or contact them for unrelated purposes without their separate consent.
Guests may leave reviews of your events and experiences and may also complete optional post-trip surveys about their personal sense of safety in the destinations and neighborhoods where your events take place. ROAM BLK may aggregate these survey responses into Community Safety Ratings about destinations and neighborhoods, as described in our general Terms of Service and Community Guidelines.

If you believe a specific review, comment, or Community Safety Rating is fraudulent, defamatory, or violates ROAM BLK's Community Guidelines, you may submit a written appeal to trust@weareroam.app. ROAM BLK will review appeals in good faith but is under no obligation to remove ratings that reflect a guest's genuine subjective experience. ROAM BLK's decision on appeals is final.
Community Safety Ratings are about destinations and neighborhoods, not individual hosts, and ROAM BLK does not consider a low Community Safety Rating for a destination to reflect on the quality of any particular Host operating there.
Host status is granted at ROAM BLK's discretion and may be suspended or terminated at any time, with or without notice, for violations of these Host Terms, the general Terms of Service, the Community Guidelines, or for any reason ROAM BLK determines is necessary to protect guests, the platform, or third parties. Pending bookings will be honored, refunded, or migrated at ROAM BLK's discretion.
You are an independent contractor offering services through the ROAM BLK marketplace. Nothing in these Host Terms creates a partnership, joint venture, agency, employment, or franchisee relationship between you and ROAM BLK or Olang Global LLC. You are solely responsible for the conduct of your events and experiences, the people you employ or engage, and any harm or loss arising from them.
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless ROAM BLK, Olang Global LLC, and their officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or in any way connected with: (a) your hosting activities; (b) your violation of these Host Terms or applicable law; (c) any injury, illness, or property damage suffered by a guest or third party in connection with your events or experiences; (d) any tax obligations arising from your earnings on ROAM BLK; or (e) any claim that your content infringes a third party's rights.
ROAM BLK provides the marketplace platform "as is." ROAM BLK does not guarantee any minimum number of bookings, revenue, ratings, or visibility. ROAM BLK is not liable for guest no-shows, chargebacks, payment processor delays, or third-party platform changes that affect your hosting activities.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ROAM BLK and Olang Global LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your hosting activities or your use of the Service. ROAM BLK's total aggregate liability to you under these Host Terms shall not exceed the platform fees ROAM BLK has retained from your bookings in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
ROAM BLK may update these Host Terms from time to time. We will notify approved Hosts of material changes through the app, the Host Dashboard, or by email. Continued listing activity after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Host Terms.
These Host Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles, consistent with ROAM BLK's general Terms of Service.
